MISSION

The National High School Graduation Campaign mission is to reach over 4.0 million high school students in 1000 U.S Communities over the next seven years, in an effort, to increase the nation’s high school graduation rate, and to better prepare these students for the US Workforce in the 21st century.

WHY?

9 out of 10 U.S. Jobs in the 21st century will require a High School Diploma or higher

7 out of 10 of those U.S. Jobs in the 21st century will require some college or degree

WHAT’S THE PROBLEM?

9 out of 10 U.S. Students that do not complete High School are minority students

3 out of 10 teenage girls get pregnant each year; with Over 50% of the teenage mothers not graduating high school

3 out of 10 high school student dropouts are drug users; with 1 out of 4 high school students experimenting with drugs today, that numbers could increase

Over 70% of Jobs in the 21st century will require some Technology Skills; today less than 10% of U.S. High Schools provide Computer Science as a requirement for graduation.

Less than 50% of U.S. high schools graduating students are college ready
