Recommended College Preparatory Mathematics courses include: two years of Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-calculus & Calculus
** Most colleges & universities require at least three years of mathematics
Recommended Laboratory Science courses include: General Science, Earth Science, Biology, and Chemistry & Physics
** Most colleges & universities require at least two years of laboratory science
Recommended Foreign Language courses include: Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Russian
** Most colleges & universities require at least two years of one language
Social Science courses include: History, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, and Civics
Computer Skills
Virtually every college and university uses computers to support and enhance academic programs. Therefore, we recommend that students take at least one course in computer science or computer languages.
Most colleges & universities expect students to have completed at least 16 academic units during their high school experience.
